New Brushes! Express Jeans and Boots

Very exciting news! My Sigma Brushes came in the mail today! I took some pictures and will post soon!

I went shopping again today...but actually didn't end up getting anything because I was helping my brother. But I did try on some jeans at Express that I really liked. They got a lot of fall jeans in that are dark blue which I really like. These jeans can all be worn to dress up a shirt or for going out at night. Here's some items that I found while I was at the store:

STELLA BARELY BOOT CUT JEAN - RAW DISTRESS
$49.50. I think these were the jeans that I had tried on. They were very comfortable because they had stretch in them. I really want to go back and get them!

ZELDA SKINNY ROUCHED LEG JEAN
$69.50. Express has so many pairs of and different kind of skinny jeans that it can be overwhelming! But there are so many different skinny jeans that you will definitely be able to find just the right pair for you! If you are looking for skinny jeans these are a good pair because you can wear them for a day look with flats or a night time look with heels as shown above.

The rouched look is a cute look because it gives the jeans something extra that makes them very cute. They also have regular skinny jeans that you can pair with high boots. These jeans may not lay flat enough with the rouched pattern.

If you would rather have a plain skinny leg then you might like these jeans better. They are a tighter fit all the way down the leg which again can be worn with flats or heels. These jeans would go great with high boots which is one of my favorite looks!

These boots I found online at Nordstrom.com. I think they're really cute and could be worn with the skinny jeans above. I got a similar pair of these boots with a wedge heel and they were sooo comfortable! I wore them to work all the time and my feet never hurt and I seriously was on my feet all day! These boots are the same brand as my boots and since they're flats they must be even more comfortable than mine!

My boots that I have in black. I love these! They're sooo comfortable!

Mac Mini Haul

I was out running some errands with my mom today and I decided to run to the mall to get some makeup at Mac. Mac is my favorite, favorite place for makeup and I some how always end up there when I go to the mall. Or...I'll just go to the mall for Mac. I've been trying to build my eyeshadow collection and go outside my box of just light colors. I do have some darker colors, but I want to get more everyday darker colors that can be paired with my lighter colors...(my nylons, ego, etc.) So I ended up wanting to get Mystery but the girl put Satin Toupe in my bag and I didn't realize it until I got home...It's fine I already tried it and it's only slightly different..

The satin toupe is a dark brown and it has a nice kind of shimmer in it...I sometimes shy away from darker colors in fear of being too dak but since it is a frost finish it has a shimmer which is nice..I also got Star Velvet which is a very pretty red color. I had this color in a holiday set and just loved it. I would pair it with nylon and it looked really pretty. Below are some swatches of the eyeshadows...they didn't show too well...but you can kind of get a sense of the colors a little better.

I also wanted to get a new blush because I've been using bronzer for the summer. I love, love my bronzer that I'm currently using and I'll put a picture up later on! Anyway, I wanted to get new pink blush and have been looking into the mineralize blushes. I decided to get the color gentle mineralize blush. It has a lot of different light and dark pink tones in it which is very pretty. It's also shimmery which I like in blushes. However, a little of this goes a long way because it's very pink so you just need a little on your brush. Below, is a swatch of the blush so you can see what it looks like:

So that was my mini haul for today. I will be posting later on when my new brushes arrive!

Sigma Brush Roll Kit!!!

Hello everyone! I am very excited today because I just ordered the Sigma Brush Roll Kit! I can't wait until they arrive and I will be posting once they arrive! I got the Brush Roll Kit which is $79 for 12 brushes. Below is the set that I purchased, which includes face and eye brushes. I have seen these used on many you tube videos and they look amazing!
You can also buy just the 12 brushes without the roll for $69.

They also have travel kits that are available for less which seem great! The travel kit that includes 7 face and eye brushes for $49. This kit comes in pink (which you can see above) and in black. I really like the pink because it's so cute!
You can view the brushes on their website: http://www.sigmamakeup.com/products/701.html

I'm Back!

So I finally decided to update my blog. I've found alot of great new products and will be telling you all about them! I feel like it's been so long since I've updated (over a year) that I have sooo many things to talk about! Today I think I'll focus on my new makeup products that I just bought.
New favorite store: Sephora. So I always loved Sephora, but I never really spent that much time in the store. I've been really into finding new eyeshadow brushes and that was my goal going into the store. They have sooo many brushes for foundation, blush and eyeshadow that it can be overwhelming! But, if you are in need for brushes of any kind this seriously is the place! The sales people are also very helpful! However, I think I need to do some more research on what kind of brushes I really need. I do have many Mac brushes, but I want to experiment with some other types...
Mascara: I LOVE mascara. I think that it completes a look. If you don't like to wear a lot of makeup and just want to look more polished, a little mascara will help you achieve that. If you are like me and love alot of eye makeup and big lashes then read on! I stumbled upon a mascara that I'd seen on someone else's blog and wanted to check it out. It's called Buxom Mascara from Bare Escentuals. At $18, it's a little higher priced than Mac's mascaras that I normally buy. I did need a new mascara because my last Mac Plush Lash is running out. As you can see from the pictures below, the wand is very large and really covers the entire lash line from inner to outer edges. I found this mascara to be amazing and really gives volume to your lashes. It really is worth it and I immediately noticed that my lashes were very voluminous! (Did I spell that right?)

Buxom Mascara: Bare Escentuals
$18.oo Sephora.
You can sort of see this mascara wand in the picture, although not as good as I would have liked. For some reason you can't see it as well on camera. However, the wand is great and very large compared to some mascaras. The brush is very detailed and really gets each lash. I will try to upload a video of the wand later on.

I was at the counter buying this mascara and the sales associate set me up with a Beauty Insider card. This is a great program they have because you earn points for your purchases. For every dollar you spend you get a point. The points go onto your card and eventually when you get to 100 points (which is just $100 that you need to spend!) you will get a free sample from what ever they're offering at that time. If you look around at their website you can see they offer eyeshadow duos and various other products which look really nice. So I will be working toward that and update you on any new products that I buy and love! The website is also great and you can search for mostly anything!

Upcoming: I will post on the new Mac products that I just purchased.

Question/Comments: I need to find an eyeshadow primer so my eyeshadow colors will stay and show up brighter when I apply. Does anyone have any good products they are using?

Fav. new books coming out soon!!!

I wanted to post about my favorite books that are coming out in the next few months. I used to hate reading when I was growing up, unless it was a fun book that wasn't boring. In school I would tend to drift off when reading really educational books. So the books that I've been reading are very good books! (I think so at least). They're totally exciting, funny, and not at all boring. They don't even feel like you're reading a book and they're very pageturning! (did I just make up that word?) I would look at all the books I've recommended, because the authors are very popular and have written multiple books. I would like to do this every so often and pick some books and authors I like and have read.

I'm sure most of you have heard of these authors since they're very popular. If not, you should definately check them out! These authors write really funny and cute stories that are totally relatable to most everyone.

I'm very excited about the new Sophie Kinsella book, Remember Me? coming out on February 23rd. It can be preordered on amazon.com for about $19.00 with shipping. I also checked out walmart and target, which has it a few dollars cheaper. But, you might want to purchase it here since it's very easy to do so.

Brief Synopsis:

28 year old Lexi Smart wakes up in a London hospital room having forgotten the past four years. She thinks she is a twenty four year old and is unsure of her whereabouts. She soon finds out pieces of her life that she can't remember!~I don't wanna give anything else away, but you can go to the amazon site and find more about this book. I can't wait to get it!!!

Other Favorites of Sophie Kinsella:

You also must check out the Shopaholic Series, which is her most famous book series.

This book is a stand alone novel (not a series). I really enjoyed this book as it was extremely funny. It revolves around the character Emma who tells all her quirky secrets to a man sitting next to her on a plane. She never expects to see this man again...but alas she does! That's all I'm going to spill...go get this book!

Coming out soon: Queen of Babble Gets Hitched by Meg Cabot. This book is due out later this year and I can't wait!~The third book in the series, it follows herione, Lizzy, in her recent engagement and supposed marriage to her boyfriend. However, the marriage is fated to not take place as she is beginning to think twice about it throughout the story.

The first book is titled, Queen of Babble, where you will meet Lizzie where she has just graduated from college. She will right away travel to London to visit her boyfriend from college. There you will realize just how quickly she jumps into situations and then later learns they aren't the best for her. The book is very comical and will have you laughing throughout.

The second book, Queen of Babble in the Big City, follows her to New York City, where she again follows her most current boyfriend. Homeless and jobless, she moves in with him and their relationship begins to evolve.

Also by Meg Cabot: www.megcabot.com

These books are a series but don't have all the same characters. The main characters in these books will change but they're from the same company. The text of the book is written in e-mails that are written between the workers at The New York Journal. You will get to know the workers through these e-mails, and it's a very interesting read.

New Favorite:

Bitter is the New Black by, Jen Lancaster. www.jennsylvania.com

This book is a true story of Jen Lancaster a woman living in Chicago in an ultra sheek apartment. She seemingly has everything...expensive clothes...money...a great job...However, she ends up losing her job and thus her life changes quickly. The book is so funny the way she presents it and it is actually a true account of her life. It has such a realness about it.
She also has two more books that are written in the same way. However, I haven't had the chance to read them yet as I just finished this one yesterday!

Tip: Jen Lancaster's books are in the Humor section of Borders.

So I think you should go to Borders (my favorite book store) and look for these titles. You can also search them on Amazon...they have them all!

Super Tuesday...7's and other fun stuff

http://www.rockthevote.com/

So it's Super Tuesday everyone!~I really wanted 2 vote, but I didn't because I wasn't registered at my new address yet. But I did send in my registration today...so I will be registered in time for the election. I'm not really into politics, but I have been watching the news about the election lately. I admit I don't know much about the candidates and their campaigns, but I have been trying to learn. I at least know everyone whose running, and have been getting more into it. So I'm trying! I think it's important to at least be interested, for me at least. So for everyone that isn't registered, think about registering! You can go to any candidates homepage and find a link to register. Anyway...enough of my public service message!

I have been shopping, (of course) and I have expanded my wish list! This is a bad thing since I'm not working full time yet and should be saving money!~But, it can't hurt to look at nice things I want. This way, I'll know exactly what I want to buy once I have money! (great theory, I know). So I have been shopping at Nordstrom for some time now and haven't ever noticed the beautiful 7 For All Mankind jeans they have there. I just always go straight into the Junior Department and shop there. I totally love their department too, so don't get me wrong. If you've been reading this blog you will definately know that! I show sooo many of their clothes here! But...I absolutely want a pair of these jeans. People I know that have them say they fit sooo well and they are very durable. Making these jeans a very good buy when you think about how long they'll last. Yes, this is what I'm telling myself when I'm deciding if I can afford to buy them. I'm still on the fence about it...maybe a few more months till I can do this.

Look at the pretty back pockets!~I just love them!

I also just bought Silver Jeans from Nordstrom. They are particularly amazing to be since they have a 35 inch inseam! All you tall girls can relate to finding such a length on jeans! Silver's have all different lengths from 30-35. I was amazed that they had a 35! I normally get tall jeans from Express, or try to find a 34 length. Finding a 34 length is very hard as well, but Silver's have them! Below, are the exact pair that I got, and they're really comfortable.
I think that's about all the shopping finds I have for today. I'm currently looking for some new boots and I haven't been able to find anything!~I'm looking for boots that aren't too high and that are very comfortable. I need them to be comfortable enough to wear at work and I walk around alot! So any suggestions would help, I've been through almost every store in my one mall. So help!!!

New Things! Sweaters, Uggs, others

So Sorry I Neglected to Post! I have been busy with work...sort of. I just haven't posted mostly cause I have been working...or trying to hah. Plus, my lack of funds have kept me out of the malls...well I still go at least once a week or so. However, I haven't really been buying much cause I still have Christmas bills to pay. Amazing how much I bought for my family this year, and I didn't even realize it until the bill came. I was surprised to say the least. I think in this post I'll review some things I got for Christmas that I am loving. I also have some other things I wanna talk about as well.

First, I want to mention my new Uggs that I got. My mom picked them out all by herself...I must add!~They're so warm since they're the higher boots and comfortable...(I'm sure you know this if you have Uggs). Mine are a size up from what I normally wear. When I was getting my last pair, the guy in the store had told me to get a size smaller because they stretch, but it seemed like my toes were too close to the end. So...just suggesting getting the bigger size..or try on the bigger size at least before deciding!

I really like these because they can match with brown/tan colors and also can go with black...Although I mostly wear them with brown/tan.

Sweaters:

I was looking on the Nordstrom website, and found a cute sweater in their BP/Junior department. I really like the color, as you might have noticed I've been picking shirts with that color out alot!~This shirt is good for going out and dressing it up with a long necklace and black leggings as it shows in the picture. It's $36.oo which is a pretty good price! It also comes in black, which I tend to have way too much of in my closet!~

Mac Makeup:

I recently got a new eyeshadow that I am loving. It's called Nylon and is a frost so it gives that bright look. It's a beige color and has a sort of sparkle to it, although it doesn't have sparkles in it. It just kind of catches the light as frosts sort of do. I also love Pink frost, Vex and Naked Lunch.

I also love the lipglass Morning Glory (which is my favorite) it's a purpleish gloss w/ sparkles in it. I will try to do a post with pictures so you can actually tell what I'm talking about. But you can always ask to see it at a Mac counter!~I also have Viva Glam which I like because it really stays on long and is a darker brown color.

Boots:

In my never ending search for shoes...I can never find the right pair that isn't too high, as I'm about 5'7 I don't want shoes that make me too tall. Call it a complex, but I think most taller girls don't want to be about 6 feet tall. I'll only wear shoes that have about a two inch heel or so. So I found these on the nordstrom website and thought they were so cute. They have a 1 3/4 inch heel, which meets my acceptable height standards! They also come in brown leather and are $179, which for boots isn't bad. Nordstrom is great because they have shoes in all price ranges and you can get them for much cheaper than this! But I really like these because you can wear skinny jeans with these and they have the little design on the back.

That's all for now, I will try and update more often...after my shopping trip this week! Happy shopping! :)
